Vasyl' Barka interview Item Info

Creator:
Voice of America
Description:
This appears to be an interview with Vasyl' Barka, but both the questions and answers seem to be spoken by the same voice (!?!). This may be a "remote interview" in which questions were mailed to Barka, and he is reading the question and then responding. There are many pops due to the microphone being turned off and on. There seems to be multiple occurrences of the same responses. Not clear yet if this is a "rereading" of a prepared response by Barka, or a dubbed copy. This is followed by an actual interview with a separate interviewer. There are some strange non-sequiturs, suggesting this recording may be the result of some sort of intermediate-stage editing.
