The Somerset County Freeholders Present: Culture Counts! Learn Pysanky Egg Painting

Learn about ancient symbols and legends, and make a traditional Ukrainian decorated egg known as the pysanka. During the Lenten period preceding Pascha, or Easter, Ukrainians write pysanky, or decorate eggs, using molten wax to write ancient symbols that symbolize the rebirth of Nature. Join us as we continue this age old tradition and welcome Spring. This event is brought to you by the Somerset County Cultural & Heritage Commission and the 2020 Census.

The workshop is open to adults and children 12 and older. All materials included.Seating is limited to 20 participants per session so register early!
