Keyword(s) not found

This does not necessarily mean that the UHEC has no audio related to your topic of interest. It may just mean that your keyword was not used by the person who wrote the description of the audio content, and you should try using different search terms.

If you are searching for a person's name that would originally have been written in Cyrillic, please note that most of our descriptions use a simplified Library of Congress transliteration system (with apostrophes but without diacritics). Therefore, "Губаржевський" would be spelled as "Hubarzhevs'kyi" (not "Hubarzhevskyi" or "Hubarz︠h︡evsʹkyĭ"). The major exception to this rule is if the person used a well-known alternative spelling in English (e.g. "Француженко" is spelled "Francuzenko", rather than the transliterated "Frantsuzhenko"). In addition, some audio has descriptive metadata in Ukrainian, so you should also try searching in Cyrillic.

If you still get no results, it may be that the UHEC has audio related to your topic, but it is not yet digitized or the digitized audio is not yet online. Please contact the archives with specific inquiries.
