Crafts for Kids with the UHEC: Kid's Vinok (Headpiece)- ONLINE

Registration is closed for this event
Young artists will learn how to make their own vinok (floral headpiece) using artificial flowers and multicolored ribbons.

Participants in this workshop will make a floral headpiece which, in traditional Ukrainian culture, is worn by girls and young unmarried women.  The vinok remains part of the Ukrainian national attire and is worn on festive occassions, performances, dances and on holy days.

Typically a vinok was made of fresh flowers. In this workshop you will use artificial flowers and multicolored ribbons.

You must provide your own supplies as listed below and in the packet.
