Crafts for Kids with the UHEC: Kid's Hutsul Hat- ONLINE

Registration is closed for this event
Young artists will learn about the traditional Krysania and create and decorate their own Hutsul hat using felt or foam.

A krysania (or kresania) is a traditional male hat worn by the Hutsuls in the Carpathian Mountain Region of Ukraine. This was a festive and colorful hat worn on special occasions. It is a flat, roundish hat made of black felt and was elaborately embellished with colorful ribbons or cords, pom-poms, feathers, sequins, beads, brass or embroidery.

In this workshop, young artists will create their own krysania using felt or foam and will be able to decorate it.

You must provide your own supplies as listed below and in the packet.
