Canada vs. the U.S.: A comparison of Ukrainian immigration from the earliest days to the present

This co-presentation with the Ukrainian Genealogy Group - National Capital Region (Ottawa, Ontario) will explore the diversity of Ukrainian immigrant experiences in North America.

Michael Buryk of the Nashi Predky/Our Ancestors program at the UHEC and Myron Momryk of the Ukrainian Genealogy Group - National Capital Region (Ottawa, Ontario) will present a short description about Ukrainian immigration to the United States and to Canada and how the two communities have evolved until the present.

The two presenters will discuss the similarities and differences between the two communities regarding settlement patterns and their influence on community politics in the two countries.
