Crafts for Kids with the UHEC: Tryzub Keychain Workshop (Virtual)

Registration is closed for this event
In this workshop, young artists will learn about traditional beaded ornamentation and make their own beaded keychain.

Ukrainian beadwork and costume ornamentation are a type of hand-made decorative arts, usually in the form of necklaces (namysto), earrings, or other forms of decorative elements on clothing, hats, head wreaths, or even in contemporary applications, found on belts and purses. Traditionally beads were strung on a ribbon or string and connected a wide variety of colorful beads to form patterns. These striking beaded designs complemented the traditional Ukrainian folk embroidery on their clothing.

In this workshop, young artists will learn about traditional beaded ornamentation and make their own beaded keychain.
