Join us this holiday season for an evening of creativity and learn to paint your own Christmas ornament in the Ukrainian decorative painting style known as Petrykiva.

All levels are welcome to join! This workshop is divided into two parts: We begin by getting comfortable with using the provided painting supplies and practice the basic brush strokes. We then use what we learned to paint on the glass ornament.

Olenka Shevelenko is a NJ based artist who specializes in the Petrykivka style. She is originally from Kherson, Ukraine and paints both as a hobby and as a way to connect more with her heritage. Her work was recently on display in the Old Bridge Library and in the past she participated in Petrykivka style art competitions.
