September is National Honey Month and what better way to celebrate than with a presentation by local farmer Cathy Blumig honoring Ukraine’s long and storied history with honey and the honey bee!

Take a journey from flower to jar as you join our featured beekeeper for a live honey extraction. Learn how bees turn flower nectar into honey and how beekeepers extract that honey from the honeycomb.

Hands-on candle rolling workshop for the whole family to participate in. 

Candles and honey will also be available for purchase

Cathy Blumig owns and operates Wolgast Tree Farm & Apiary in Somerset, NJ with her husband, Len Wolgast, where they grow Christmas trees, raise honeybees and produce a variety of log-grown mushrooms. She serves on the Somerset County Board of Agriculture and has been keeping honey bees and crafting honey and beeswax products for over 15 years.
