Holiday Pysanka Ornament Workshop

This workshop will include a step-by-step instruction of how to make a traditional Ukrainian pysanka using the wax-resist method on a blown out chicken egg. Participants will use a special tool called a kistka, open flame, beeswax, and dye to complete the egg. The completed pysanka will then be assembled to hang on a Christmas tree (or give away as a gift!). All supplies provided. Additional pysanka supplies will be available for purchase at the UHEC.
