Grow your own oyster mushrooms—no experience needed! Oyster mushrooms (Pleurotus ostreatus) can be found across Ukraine and are one of the easiest, most delicious mushrooms to grow. In this hands-on, indoor class we’ll walk you through creating your own oyster mushroom bucket from start to finish. You’ll prep a 2-gallon bucket and pack it with pasteurized straw, coffee grounds and oyster mushroom spawn, and walk out with a miniature mushroom garden ready to fruit in just  weeks. Participants will learn about oyster mushroom ecology, some key concepts of indoor mushroom cultivation, instructions on how to care for their very own oyster mushroom bucket and recipes to enjoy these choice culinary fungi, as well as options for preservation. Age 14+
