Learn how to write pysanky with brown eggs using strong vinegar to etch part or all of the design. In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore a modern twist on a traditional Ukrainian art form, creating striking light-and-dark patterns as the vinegar reveals intricate designs.

Designed for experienced pysanka writers ages 16 and up, this advanced-level class builds on prior knowledge of traditional techniques and offers an opportunity to experiment with a more sophisticated etching method.

NOTE: Images shown are for illustrative purposes only; individual designs and patterns will vary.

Cost: $35 (All supplies included; additional supplies for home available to purchase)

Seating is limited to 12 participants per session, so register early!

Donations are gratefully accepted.

This in-person workshop will take place at the UHEC Library, 135 Davidson Avenue, Somerset, NJ 08873
